Valmarine

L-3 Valmarine is a major supplier of automation and navigation systems to advanced vessels worldwide. The cruise vessel market is the core business and the company is a market leader for ship automation in this segment. In general, the systems are designed with a high degree of automation and safety, enabling the company also to be present on both LNG and offshore vessels.

The company employs 100 people and is headquartered in Norway, with a branch office in Finland and cooperation partners in Italy, France, Singapore, China and Korea. L-3 Communications, located in the US, is the principal owner and L-3 Valmarine is a part of Marine & Power Systems.

Finn Inge Langeland
Managing Director

Finn Inge Langeland joined L-3 as Managing Director for L-3 Valmarine effective January 1, 2011. Mr. Langeland has more than 15 years of operational management experience in the marine automation market. Prior to joining L-3, he served as the head of hardware and software development at Bjørge Marine Automation. From 2007 to 2010, he served as its managing director and contributed significantly to the development of the company's worldwide activities.
