John Fox is the president of L-3 Communications Ocean Systems Group. Ocean Systems is comprised of L-3 Ocean Systems, Sylmar, CA; L-3 ELAC Nautik, Kiel, Germany; L-3 Klein and L-3 SeaBeam, Salem, NH. Ocean Systems is one of the world's leading suppliers of acoustic undersea warfare systems for a wide range of platforms, including helicopters, submarines and surface ships. Ocean Systems target markets are: Anti-Submarine Warfare, Mine Warfare, Underwater Communications and Harbor Security. Ocean Systems is very successful internationally with over 70% of revenues originating from foreign navy customers. Mr. Fox brings over twenty-five years of broad technical experience, predominately naval systems, to the Ocean Systems business. Prior to his current position, Mr. Fox served as vice president and general manager of BAE Systems, Advanced Systems in Lansdale, PA. Advanced Systems is a leader in electronic attack and electronic surveillance systems. In November 2000, BAE SYSTEMS acquired the Manassas, VA facility from Lockheed Martin where Mr. Fox was vice president of Space Electronics. Mr. Fox has also held senior managerial positions at Lockheed Martin Federal Systems and Unisys Government Systems Group – Undersea Systems. Mr. Fox is a 1977 graduate of Drexel University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
