Peter Dawson joined L-3 as president L-3 Communications MAPPS Inc. effective September 20, 2006. With over 33 years of experience in various industries, Mr. Dawson brings tremendous executive leadership and technical management expertise to L-3 MAPPS, including his most recent position as general manager of Parker Hannifin Corporation's Control Systems Division located in Utah. Mr. Dawson has also been director of operations for Parker Hannifin Corporation and managing director and CEO for Otis Manufacturing Company. A demonstrated leader with a vast international business background, Mr. Dawson additionally served as director of manufacturing and engineering for Otis Elevator in Singapore, Hong Kong and Latin America, and as managing director and CEO for Dynapert Delvotec GmbH located in Munich, Germany. Mr. Dawson has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brunel University and an Accounting Diploma from City of London Polytechnic, both in London, U.K.
