Gerhard Jordt
General Manager
Gerhard Jordt is general manager of L-3 Communications Elac Nautik GmbH in Germany, which has was acquired by L-3 Communications in March, 1998. Mr. Jordt joined ELAC in 1986, starting as a sales manager for naval acoustics. He later served as manager of contracts and sales, director of operations and director of contracts and materials. In 1999, he was appointed deputy general manager and retained the title of director of contracts and human resources before he became president of the company in 2004. During his tenure, the company has achieved a leading market position in the area of underwater acoustics, with a product portfolio of sonars, echo sounders and underwater communication systems.
