President
John McDaris is president of Chesapeake Sciences Corporation, a developer and manufacturer of anti-submarine warfare (ASW) systems, which was acquired by L-3 in 2008. He assumed the role of president, CEO and chairman of Chesapeake Sciences Corporation in July 1992 following a 20-year career at Martin Marietta Corporation. From 1990 to 1992, Mr. McDaris served as director of ocean systems programs at Martin Marietta, responsible for a $90 million (in sales) operation and 1,000 employees. Mr. McDaris is one of the co-founders of Chesapeake Sciences and a graduate of Florida Atlantic University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Ocean Engineering
